Injecting Removables for Success

Written by Ivoclar Vivadent Blog Team | 30 July 2021

The process of injection molding has long been recognized as the "gold standard" for conventionally processed removable prosthetics due to the high degree of accuracy achieved through minimized polymerization shrinkage.  The Ivobase Denture Base System  takes these concepts to new heights by marrying a state of the art, self-contained injector/curing unit with next generation resin materials.  This approach produces a superior product with exceptional accuracy and greatly reduced residual monomer.

In this course participants will experience a detailed step by step hands-on educational experience that will include productive investing procedures, complete wax elimination, effective separator application, tips on injection and careful methods of deflasking.  Attention to the details of processing can provide a processed denture that requires minimal finishing and polishing efforts.  The processed dentures are remounted and occlusally adjusted prior to separation from the cast and then trimmed and polished.

In this webinar, you will learn more about the following themes:

  • Concept of injection denture base processing
  • Investing, boil-out, and separator application
  • Injection and processing
  • Concepts of remount & occlusal adjustment after processing
  • Finishing and Polishing
  • Trouble shooting denture processing
