In recent dental esthetic restorations, we have benefited a lot from digital solutions. These include the evolution of material science and development of esthetic dentistry. However, digital solutions do not solve esthetic problems in all clinical cases. As a result, conventional restorative concepts and technologies are still often required to achieve high esthetic demands of patients. Among them, it is especially necessary to provide perfect reproduction and high creativity for anterior restorations. Equally important, material selection also comes into play in clinical cases, while prioritizing adhesion to enamel.
As you know, the press ceramic system has a long history, and within that area, IPS e.max press system has a sophisticated theory and technology. I am convinced that IPS e.max press and CAD will continue to be an indispensable material for esthetic restoration as well as zirconia. This time, I would like to introduce some clinical cases using the IPS e.max press system focusing on tooth replication together with a smile design system for advanced esthetic restoration.
