The effects of light polymerization on N-Line composite restorations

Written by Ivoclar Vivadent Blog Team | 27 March 2024

Highly esthetic direct composite restorations have become increasingly popular in almost any dental office around the world. Clinicians need to fulfill their patients` increasing expectations regarding aesthetics, functionality and durability for both anterior and posterior direct composite restorations. At the same time, the clinical procedures need to be carried out in the most efficient way to optimize the revenue for the dental practice – without sacrificing the quality of the final restorations.

Recently, new restorative systems have been introduced into the market. They possibly have the potential to save significant chairside time during the clinical workflow. The question is, however, whether dentists need to compromise in terms of esthetic outcome and the overall longevity of the restoration.

This webinar will introduce new techniques and materials to place direct composite restorations faster and more efficiently – with a dedicated focus on the important light polymerization technique.

In this webinar, you will learn more about the following subjects:

  • Layering vs. bulk filling techniques
  • Differences in terms of clinical outcome & efficiency
  • Influence of light polymerization on quality of direct restorations
  • Clinical factors influencing polymerization effectiveness
  • Latest technologies in light curing units
