Digital Dentures Clinical Workflow – Part 1

Written by Ivoclar Vivadent Blog Team | 14 April 2020

The significant advantages of digital dentures compared to traditional denture treatment presents a compelling reason for the clinician to engage into this new technology.

Unquestionably digital technology can enhance the service that can be provided for our patients.  However, the transition from traditional denture care to digital workflows can at first appear to be somewhat intimidating for a clinician.  New terminology, new materials, new techniques, etc.  These two series webinars are designed to breakdown the various digital denture workflows and parallel them to traditional workflows.  This step by step presentation will take the mystery from the digital process and facilitate the clinician to easily transition their removable practice.  This program will be divided into two parts.

Part 1

Will provide a brief review of complete denture clinical workflows with emphasis on the "Direct to Try-in Workflow".   This workflow is similar to the traditional workflow that would treat the complete denture patients from "scratch".  In other words, require taking initial impressions and jaw records without the aid of existing dentures.  Comparisons will be made to the traditional workflow with emphasis on how digital technology can facilitate and shorten the clinical workflow procedures.
